This Privacy Policy describes how BMI Calculator (“the App”) handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
The App does not require you to create an account or provide your name or email address. The following categories of data are processed:
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any other personally identifiable information directly.
All body metrics and calculation history are stored entirely on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, this data may be synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit so that your history is available across your own Apple devices. This sync occurs between your devices only — we do not have access to your iCloud data.
You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the iOS Settings app under your Apple ID › iCloud › Apps using iCloud.
The App displays interstitial advertisements powered by Google AdMob. Before showing personalised ads, the App will ask for your permission using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
You can change your ATT choice at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Google AdMob Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Purchasing “BMI Calculator Plus” permanently disables all advertising and ATT data collection within the App.
The App uses the following additional third-party services:
The body metrics you enter (weight, height, age, sex) are sensitive data. We treat this data with care: it is never transmitted to our servers, never shared with third parties for marketing, and is not linked to your identity. It exists solely on your device (and optionally in your personal iCloud account) to provide your calculation history.
Your calculation history and body metrics remain on your device until you delete them. You can clear your history at any time from the App’s Settings tab. Deleting the App also removes all locally stored data. To remove data from iCloud, delete the App and then remove its iCloud data from iOS Settings › your Apple ID › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any data held about you. Because most data is stored on your own device, you already have direct control over it. For data held by the third-party services listed above, please refer to their respective privacy policies or contact us and we will assist where possible.
We do not sell your personal information. For advertising purposes, Google AdMob may use your IDFA only with your explicit ATT consent. You may opt out at any time as described in Section 3 above.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App and provided health data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
